Right up front,Captain America is a bad movie. The acting is poor overall and the film is just plain poor BUT it's actually fun because of it.Especially as a look back at where Marvel films were vs..where they are today. If you go in with the right mindset and maybe a bottle of booze then it may be a fun time. And I appreaciate the bonus featurette included too.I give this a overall Fair ranking due to the fun of watching such a bad film but it is a poor movie.

Honestly, I only got this because I'm a huge Captain America fan & I try to collect everything with him. Beyond that, this movie is pretty lame. I remember seeing the coming attraction posters for this movie in the theaters. However, it never made it to the movies (at least not in new york). After seeing this film, I understood why. If you are not a comic book buff or completist, I recommend that you skip this one and just watch The First Avenger

This movie is pretty terrible compared to anything recent. The story is the same cap origin story but the acting is not great. Effects are pretty much what you would expect from a movie made in the early 90s. The actual video looks pretty good on bluray. I would only recommend buying this if you are collecting marvel movies, are a huge fan of the captain, or you like terrible old movies.

I wasn't aware of this movie until I saw it on the shelf. For the price I thought I'd give it a try. One thing it does well is it makes the new movies look even better. To its credit the red skull looked good. This is the sort of movie that if you saw it as a little kid it would probably have a good nostalgia factor.

This is one of the best films Mavel has put out. Undoubtably so. The action is equil to the 'Avengers' and I would compare the acting to 'Scarface'. I hold this movie in the highest standard and it should be the measuring rod for all comic book based movies.

Long before Chris Evans and the MCU, there was this direct-to-video version of Captain America. It's low-budget, campy fun. As long as you don't take it too seriously, it's a great ride.

The Red Skull defeats Captain America in 1941, but the super hero is thrown into suspended animation. Captain America is revived 50 years later to face the Red Skull one more time.
