A: I believe that there is some confusion here. The crisper tray is the metal part, with openings in it, that is suspended from the bottom of the basket. This allows for cooking, air circulation, and dripping of fat down into the basket, from which it can be poured out after cooking. The orange part (silicone, not rubber) allows for cooking something that you would NOT want to drip down to the basket, like eggs, while still providing a non-stick, easy clean surface,
Q: Can I bake a cake in the fryer?
A: Technically you can, but I wouldn't recommend it. An air fryer is essentialy a convection oven. Meaning it cooks food by circulating hot air around. This would make a very dry cake. You can wrap things in foil before placing them in, to lock in moisture, but I wouldn't reccomend baking a cake in it.
A: If there is no sound whatsoever, chances are that the fan is not turning, which it is supposed to. If it is still under warranty, I would suggest you return it for exchange, credit or cash.
Q: What is the dimensions of the basket?
A: Available in the online description: 9.5"x9.5"x5.5" - 5" deep using included non-stick tray.
A: The tray isn't coming out on its own. You really have to mash it to the bottom of the basket. Thankfully there is a nice center handle to get it back out.
Q: Is the non-stick coating PFAS free?
A: Hello, Thank you for reaching out Yes it is Thank you CRUX Customer Service
Q: What is the length of the power cord?
A: About 24 inches
Q: How many chicken nuggets can I cook at a time?
A: The question is actually a bit more complex than what you stated, so the answere is as well. The problem with these basket-type air fryers is that you can really only cook one layer's worth of food at one time. More than that and you lose the speed advantage and may need to increase the temperature, plus you get irregular cooking results, which is only partly compensated for by tossing/flipping the contents.
