Drone Newbie…NO BUYERS REMORSE!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I’ve never owned or even flown a drone before…and I debated whether or not to purchase a much cheaper model before investing in the Mavic 3…but I wanted it for photos and videos-so I decided that would be wasting $ I could put towards the real deal. After unboxing I downloaded the apps and walked through the tutorials. I was a little concerned about my ability to control it since I was never able to master any of the Nintendo or other multi hand game controllers- but for some reason I was able to figure this out fairly quickly. After completing my FAA registration and my knowledge quiz i took it out for my maiden flight. Now all I want to do is fly!! Im not your typical drone pilot…a 51 year old mother of 2 grown daughters…but I might be the most enthusiastic. I dont leave my house without it. Ever. I seriously love it. I’m now exploring opportunities in which I can eventually make a decent supplemental income with it! Now if only Mother Nature would cooperate…

Happy with my purchase almost 2 years later.

DJI was slow to release some updates that the drone needed after I purchased it, but a buy today gives you a fully functional drone with incredible imagery. The only thing I would do different, is to NOT buy the fly more combo because I'm not a huge fan of the bag that comes with this combo. I'd much rather have a hard case box, and if you were to look at the line item cost... they are charging quite a bit for the bag... so yeah, otherwise fantastic DJI product as usual.

A worthy upgrade

- A:Answer You get a 60 day return option, and great replacement coverage. I crashed my Mavic 3 the first day I had it, and broke the Gimbal and one arm. Best Buy replaced the unit without question, and without a deductible.

- A:Answer I would say yes. Good for photos and videos anywhere in the sky (up to 400 ft per FAA rules). Can maneuver most anywhere as long as it's within the operator's (pilot's) view (FAA rules again). Acts like a tripod in the sky. Less expensive models probably can also do it, they just have less capability for collision avoidance and have shorter battery life.

- A:Answer Using a device that has data is very much necessary for commercial applications. I highly recommend using a larger device over my phone. I use an iPad pro 12in (at&t) and it's much easier to work with and still have a data capability to unlock it in waivered zones.
