Works fine but a shipping mishap
Though the AC seems to cool as advertised, the downgrade in my rating is due to the condition of the unit when delivered. One of the four plastic caster wheels was cracked. Seeing that it was only attached by two screws, I figured the company could send me a replacement caster and I'd attach it. When I called the customer service number printed on the box and owner's manual, the representative said they no longer service Emerson products. She said the contract with them is no longer valid and they don't have a name or phone number of a new customer service company. Because the unit is fairly heavy, I did not want to lug it into a Best Buy store to return it. Instead I am making do with a 3 legged unit.

Average at best
SUPER SUPER quiet in comparison to my two other portables. Cold air is cool. Doesn't blow with much pressure. Cools down living room but on a hot day, only to about 76.
