A: Hello and thank you for reaching out about this excellent air conditioner. Typically, when left on Cool mode, the unit will not need emptied as the water collected is repurposed to cool the internal components and help the unit run more efficiently. When it is first run or on extremely humid days, it may require emptying. Keep in touch! - JB
A: I know there are no seals. I know there is an extra screw. It seems that the owners manual use of the phrase "apply the foam seals" is both incorrect and misleading. From checking around most other companies don't require you to return to the store to purchase what costs maybe $1. I finally figured out that the self-tapping screw must be to hold the hose vent to the window panel. As once you "lock" that vent in place, it readily slides out on its own. There are two small holes, one on each side of that vent attachment. Once it is is place and "locked" screw one of the self-tapping screws through that hole and into the soft plastic. That will keep the hose attachment in place. Great portable a/c unit. Very poor instructions and no foam seals.
A: Yes. It's pulling the warm air out of the room and replacing it with chilled air. That's why the exhaust vent feels warm.
A: Your unit is most likely over-filled with water. Your unit draws moisture from the air, so if you live in a humid area, you will have to drain it regularly. It’s either that or you have a crack in the base of your portable a/c. If you have two drain plugs on the back of your unit, you can connect a hose to the top plug and then put the other end of the hose into an empty container. Hope that helps.
A: Yes - unit will turn off blower when the set temperature is reached - then automatically turn back on when above (i.e. warmer) the set temp. (Nice feature!)
Q: Does this unit have a water drain on it?
A: Hello AJ - Thank you for the excellent question about our air conditioner. This model does have a drain on the back. However, it would only need to be drained in high humidity areas as the water collected is generally used to help the unit run more efficiently. Keep in touch! - JB

A: Have you felt the air coming out on the outside? It’s hot...I highly doubt bugs are going to want to fly into it. You would probably have to take the hose off the unit and rinse it out...that would be my guess. I have the screens on the windows.
