Q: I live in Florida and things rust fast. I need to know if the plate the carafe sits on is plastic.
A: The machine itself is plastic and stainless. The Thermal carafe is also stainless. The baseplate is black plastic, and has NO warming element to rust. The coffee (tea?) stays hot inside the insulated thermal carafe.
Q: IS THE COFFEE MAKER HAVE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF FEATURES? HOW CAN I GET A USERS MANUAL?
A: Yes. There is no warming element associated with the insulated thermal carafe.
A: Putting hot water in the carafe would certainly help warm up the carafe making the coffee warmer, but I’d never bother.
