A definite upgrade for my son's gaming pc.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a really nice gpu upgrade for my son's gaming pc. He was using an MSI RTX 3060 TI dual fan graphics card from his first pc in his new build. He's been wanting a more powerful card and this definitely achieved that. This definitely hits those out of reach 4K high/ultra settings without breaking a sweat now!

Truly an excellent card for 1440p
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is super cool and quiet, and runs everything well. Been gaming using a 1440p 240 hz monitor and most games that I have in my library maxes out the fps, save for some newer games of course as those have been found to be terribly unoptimized. Despite that, newer games still run pretty well with most if not all past 100 fps. I would highly recommend this card if you'll be playing at this resolution and targeting high fps. If you can get this on sale, I would say go for it. Refresh cards are also on the way and you may want to wait as well for those, but can't say for sure how well they will perform for their price points.

Thick boi
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a chonk. Make sure you have a roomy case. You might try more flexible cables if it’s a tight fit. Performance wise… it’s awesome. Plays everything at high-very high detail at or above 60fps. Paired with a 5900x.

Deffinetly recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this graphics card for over a year now, and it's been working great. I was a little worried about its performance, since it's not one of the top-of-the-line models. But it's been a reliable performer, and I haven't had any problems with it. I have had for over a year no issues.

Love this 4080
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing card. Faster than the 3090ti by a large margin and it looks amazing. Has a lower power draw then the 3080 and Has the best gpu support in my opinion as it mounts to the board and hold the far back side of the gpu with multiple screws. Also it’s 13.5 inch long and 6.2 inch wide by 4 inch thick . 2 slot card , it’s a bit pricey but if you want it buy it. I love it. For those who don’t understand the fan light issue. Gigabyte has done somthing different on this card, and I like it , When it is under a stress load such as gaming or running benchmarks the fans will begin to light up . When the card is under normal temps it won’t display light until a certain temp hits and then the rgb gets turned on. 5/5 especially since I walked in and grabbed one.

Big, Efficient, & Powerful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a really big card, even by 3090 standards. Fitting this inside a Lian Li O11 XL required purchasing a separate cable. It is good for 4k and 1440P high refresh gaming. The power efficiency is excellent and it runs quiet and cool. Especially on the thermal junction.

Performs great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought it was a little pricey at first but after installing and seeing how it performs I can't complain. Having seen the temp get above 54 degrees and that's without installing other fans yet other than my AIO.

A definite upgrade, but not worth the value
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure you measure before buying this. It’s huge. You need a medium sized tower at the minimum. The support bracket didn’t work with the tower, but i had a support bracket already. This offered a 41% increase in gpu power and Fps compared to the 3080ti i had. It runs extremely cool. max i’ve gotten get 60*C. An $899 3080ti * ~40% increase in performance, this should be no >$1260. Also the DLSS 3.0 tech is interesting. You can definitely notice a difference in quality and frames, but the latency is increased

Q: QuestionWth is it gray out? What's the point of listing an open box if your can't even click on it and it's unavailable. And I thought my English was bad?
Asked by Whywhywhy.
- A:Answer To generate traffic to the website. Notching else.

Q: QuestionWhy does this particular card frequently show up an an open-box item, but not other Nvidia RTX 40 series cards? BTW, I asked this question before, but apparently Best Buy chose not to post it. Hmmm... 🤔
Asked by Noneya.
- A:Answer My guess would be size. The graphics card is humongous and not exactly easy to install. Make sure you have more than the 342mm length before considering this product. Remember you have to actually get it in the case and with many cases that is going require some extra space to manipulate the card and line it up. Be aware of the width of this card as well, if your case is the slightest bit narrow it's likely you won't have clearance for the power. As far the PSU answer that was given. I highly doubt that is a problem unless you got a cheap PSU or you are trying to max out the power. The card will accept up to +17% power, but even so, the FE version of this card only has a 750 Watt PSU requirement and it typically uses less power than the similarly rated 3080 from the previous gen. That being said, some intel processors are very power hungry so on an intel platform you may want to go with a 1000 watt supply.

Q: QuestionA follow up to my previous question: Does this block the second pcie slot when it is plugged into the first pcie slot of an ATX motherboard? The motherboard I have is the Gigabyte z390 Pro Wifi.
Asked by andon.
- A:Answer Hi Asker, Yes this will block your 2nd PCI Express slot. The card is 3.7slots in width. Hope this helps! - John

Q: QuestionDoes this block the second pcie slot when it is plugged into the first pcie slot of an ATX motherboard?
Asked by andon.
- A:Answer Hi Asker, Most recent motherboards will account for this and put a minimum gap of 3 slots. Note that most current generation graphics cards no longer support SLI/NVLink for gaming purposes. Hope this helps! - John

Q: QuestionWhy is this the only Nvidia RTX 4080 card that sells as an open-box product?
Asked by Noneya.
- A:Answer Sorry I don't have an official answer for you, but I'll give you two possibilities. 1. Scalpers bought a lot of these cards and returned them when they saw that E-bay sales were weak. 2. Gigabyte and Best Buy have worked out a deal of some sort. 3. People return them frequently because case requirements for this GPU, it just doesn't fit a lot of cases.

Q: QuestionThank-you for answering my previous question. I just have one more question: Can I use the RGB Fusion software to control the lights of the card if it is connected using a pcie riser cable? The cable I have is a phanteks pcie 3.0 riser cable.
Asked by andon.
- A:Answer Hi Asker, Yes the RGB Fusion software will still function correctly even when using a PCIe Riser cable. Hope this helps! - John
