Q: Does this model have a built-in webcam?
A: Yes, with a slide to cover the camera when not in use
A: I added an incredibly fast M.2 SSD (Samsung 970 EVO 500GB) to my HP 24-r114, which resulted in a very significant overall performance increase, cutting the load time of almost everything -- including the OS and apps -- by approx. 75%. From my perspective, an M.2 SSD is an absolutely crucial addition to any system running any slower or lower end HDD, and I can't encourage you enough to consider upgrading to this as your main system drive. Even with an older/slower M.2 SSD, you'll see an improvement in the OS load time.
A: It has One M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for an SSD which could be used for Optane instead.
A: Yes. The unit can tilt on the stand.
A: To place batteries in the mouse, gently lift the palm end of the mouse to lift the top cover and slide forward. Place batteries in the battery slots and gently reinsert the two prongs at the front of the cover, pull back and press the palm end to snap in place.
A: Yes. Bought one for about $20 & it sets on the computer base. Has 4 ports & works great. Easily accessed.
A: The touchscreen monitor is exactly 22.5 inches horizontal by 18 inch high (when measured in perfect vertical allignment), since the screen tilts back/fwd, this may help you as not sure which 22” space you meant.
A: No, the computer is "built-in" the monitor.
