Q: Re: Switching from Iphone to HTC M8
A: Yes. If you have a Mac, and you connect the phone to it via USB, you can restore an iPhone backup right onto the HTC. My daughter used it to go from her iphone 5 to the HTC One M8.
A: Ultrapixel is a marketing word that HTC made up. HTC put a camera with sensors that are larger than those in a typical smartphone camera which results in a lower number of pixels but increased light exposure for better quality pictures especially in low light. All in all "Ultrapixel" is a way of making 4 megapixels not sound so bad.
Q: Will i lose unlimited data?
A: I am in this same boat. I have an unlimited data plan for my non-smartphone, but AT&T detects the M8 and adds a data plan. I need to constantly switch SIMs into the non-smartphone and call AT&T to switch back to data unlimited. If you have a true SMARTPHONE unlimited plan, they will grandfather you. If the unlimited plan is for a non-smartphone, you're gambling that they don't switch you.
