A: What are trying to do? Open a star gate? Just get 2 more 8gb and be done with it. But if you wanna try, go ahead. Just don't be surprised when your computer starts building a terminator.
A: The keyboard that comes with the computer is wired already. You just plug it into the tower. As for the cable to connect the monitor, those should come with the monitor, and if not, I’m sure Best Buy or any other computer store has them. Power plug comes with the computer.
A: The power supply seems to be a no brand OEM and the ram in my system is the ADATA XPG Z1 with heatsink. The GPU in mine is a ASUS 1080GTX.
A: The only comment I have is that you must remember to plug in the USB WiFi Dongle that comes with the computer - as that allows the computer to interface with your LAN and the internet. Once the dongle is plugged in and you connect to the WiFi you're using, everything else downloaded seamlessly. If you're a "noob" the term dongle can be confusing - but it's just a small little USB plug-in device that comes in it's own bag inside the computer box when you buy it. Forget to install the dongle and you're dead in the water. You do have to remove the glass side panel and remove the special jar-proof packaging that supports the hard drive for shipping (which is a great thing), but that only takes about 30 seconds and then you're ready to plug in and turn on.
Q: whats gaming monitor do you guys recommend to take advantage of the GPU power of the 1080?
A: I bought a Dell 27" S2716DG monitor, 144 Hz 2650x1440 display, 1ms refresh. Paid $425 with free shipping. The reviews say that it is awesome other than the black levels aren't great but I didn't want to spend $600+ for a G-sync monitor and frankly I don't see any issues, it is an awesome monitor for the price.
Q: What is the make / model of the motherboard and video card
A: Mine came with: MSI Z-270-A Pro Motherboard MSI Geforce GTX 1080 AERO graphics card
Q: Where is the disk drive on the tower? I can’t seem to locate it.
A: There is no built in cdrom, blueray or floppy drive. You would need an external drive if you can't get your files over the network/internet. The hard drive(s) are internal.
A: Yeah it has msi armor +2 so it should be pretty durable and reliable
