Q: QuestionIs 8AWG wiring recommended for this amp?(2 answers)
A: AnswerI ran 4ga as it can draw up to 60a of current, and most CCA 8ga is only good for 40a of current. The amp runs flawlessly with 4ga, but might not get enough current running 8ga unLess you run a premium ofc 8ga- a few companies make an 8ga that can run 60a.Answered by Perm
- A: AnswerI’m not sure but as soon as we hooked up the speakers .. they started smoking .. I had to return it

Q: QuestionCan this amp be ran either 2ohms or 4(2 answers)
A: AnswerThis amp can run to a 2ohm subwoofer. I got it powering some MTX terminators and the amp is able to do 500 watts at 2 ohms to the subwoofer.Answered by Kang
Q: QuestionWill this power my dual 12 inch subs?(2 answers)

Q: QuestionCan you move 2 12 a 150rms each??(2 answers)
A: AnswerYesAnswered by Mital
- A: AnswerYes this will be more than enough for them. They will become a 2ohm load when both are hooked up. This amp is most efficient at 2ohm. Make sure you run proper wire and check your voltage to get rid of distortion and it should sound great

Q: QuestionWill this power 2 300 watt rms kicker comp c enclosures you also sell?(2 answers)
A: AnswerShould be plenty of power for that. With 300W @ 4 ohms and/or 500W @ 2 ohms, any efficient speaker will kick butt. Doesn't say what the distortion is, but @ 1,000 watts whatever the distortion is will double over whatever it is at 500W. As a digital amp, it should take no backtalk and thus have excellent damping. That said, this is a mono amp, so whatever your impedance on the speakers is will be cut in half due to the doubling of the conductance path. If your speakers are 4 ohms each that would be ideal, as the load presented to the amp would be 2 ohms. Or 4 ohms if each speaker is 8 ohms.Answered by MrBob84

Solid mono amp by Kenwood
For the price, I don't think you can find better class D mono amp for your subwoofer with 500 watts RMS at 2 Ohm. It has been rock solid for months. I'm driving a Kicker CompR 12" in a ported box with it. Feels sturdy and the included bass remote knob is a plus, albeit simple but does the job. Though it's rated at 500 watts RMS at 2 Ohm, I feel that it actually is putting out more (I don't have proof as I've not tested this, just going by experience).

Best Amplifier in its class!!!
This is a great amplifier. It offers everything you need to push 500+ watts RMS and is an extremely well built amplifier. I have Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood amplifiers, and I have to say the Kenwood are my favorite next to the Alpine amps. They do not exhibit noise which I have experienced with a few older pioneer amps I have owned. The finish is all metal which is also a big plus for me, because there are a lot of amp out there made with plastic, and just gives the product a cheap look and feel. These are also audibly louder when I compare them to some of my other monoblock amps, and I definitely set my gains with a digital multimeter. I was very impressed with Kenwoods Kac-m3004, I ended up purchasing X501-1, X301-4, KAC-314 and the KAC-511. I can definitely attest that Kenwood’s amplifiers get better with every new generation amplifier they release. And the newer amplifiers are Hi-Res Audio (higher S/N ratio and frequency response) certified, which is a plus when you compare all the amps in this price range of amplifiers.
