Q: It states that these speakers are wireless. are they Bluetooth or Wifi?
A: I have the KLIPSCH REFERENCE II R-41-M bookshelf speakers. They are NOT powered, wireless, Bluetooth, or WIFI. The powered version (KLIPSCH REFERENCE II R-41-PM) of this speaker does have those capabilities.
A: Yes you can connect it to a receiver. IT WILL NOT DAMAGE THEM.
A: Klipsch R-41M are passive speakers. They are not powered Bluetooth speakers. That version is the Klipsch R-41PM, which is the self-powered Bluetooth speaker. If the TV can connect to Bluetooth speakers, then the answer is yes, it would work.
Q: Are these speakers compatible with vintage 1980’s receivers?
A: These are passive speakers. If you have a receiver that has an amp with speaker out's - yes these will work. If you can connect a wire to the receiver and have that receiver power the speaker with wattage - yes this speaker will work. The age of the receiver does not matter - this is analog technology, not digital. There are no "compatability" concerns between speakers and receivers unless you get into 4 Ohm versus 8 Ohm speakers and the wattage ratings the amps are able to produce, etc. Howerver, at the end of the day, if you have the means to connect a + and - wire to the receiver and a + and = on the speaker - done. It should work.
Q: Do these speakers support play-fi?
A: These are traditional wired peakers, it all depends on your AVR.
A: From the Klipsch website 50 watts continuous
Q: Are these suitable for a rear channel for surround sound?
A: They are perfect as rear channel speakers, just be aware of the dimensions and weight of these: 11.3 inches high, 5.75 inches wide and 7.9 inches front to back. They weigh about 7 pounds each speaker.

Finally replaced my ancient, tiny, plastic cabinet surround speakers from a home theater set I bought in 2002. They were beginning to rattle and distort badly. These seemed like a great companion for the fronts which I replaced about a year ago with Klipsch R-50M. These are quite heavy compared to those and I need mine to be right against a corner, so the little screw hole wasn't gonna be an option for me. I bought a set of small tables which hold them beautifully. Sound quality seems excellent. Of course being rear channel speakers, I can't exactly run specific music through them to hear the full range but I'm sure enjoying my 5.1 system again. My center is now a Polk Audio Blackstone something or other. Much as I would have loved to put a Klipsch there, I couldn't see spending more than what I paid for a pair of fronts or surrounds for a center channel. And my old subwoofer still booms smoothly. My only minor complaint about these is that without the front covers, the inside is grey instead of black like my R-50M but I can deal with that. I realize these are a much older model. In fact as I write this, the previous most recent review is 4 years ago.

I bought these to place as front heights. The mounts I had could not hold the weight of the speaker in a specific position, so I moved them up to my desk. Sound production was good as surrounds, but I could not get them positioned to stay, so they had to move to my desk. For L/R mains as computer speakers w/a 10" Klipsch subwoofer, these things work awesome compared to the Klipsch HD500 speakers they replaced. For full sound though you need a subwoofer to augment the LFE and lower end spectrum. Mid'/s and High's are solid with these bookshelf speakers.

Typical horn tweeter for Klipsch, yes, a little on the bright side. Excellent for a movie 5.1 or 7.1 surround speakers or a desktop stereo 2.1 setup. Easy to drive with an entry level receiver or integrated amplifier. Sound quality improves with a more modest amplifier. Great value for the money.
