Elevate the look of your kitchen with a classic microwave featuring modern style and technology. The convenient handle bar design, WideView window and SmoothTouch glass controls offer a refined look, easy access and intuitive operation. With scan-to-cook technology, send cooking instructions for ready-made meals to your microwave with just a scan of the barcode, or use sensor cook and auto cook options to eliminate the guesswork. For extra convenience, sync the microwave with your LG smart range to automatically turn on the light and vent when the cooktop is in use. Plus, clear the air with ExtendaVent 2.0, which expands to provide powerful ventilation over more of your cooktop's surface area.
Q: How loud is the exhaust fan? Our current Maytag model sounds like a jet plane.
A: You know the fan is on, but it is not obnoxious
A: 17 3/4" is the MAXIMUM height, which is in the middle of the microwave, not the front. The front is only 17" high, and that seems more like 16.25" as the vent tilts back. On the mounting backplate, it's only a smidge over 16" high. Basically, it's not 17 3/4" high on the back or the front, only the midway back. The mounting and visual dimensions are less. Those saying they measured the front to be 17 3/4" are incorrect or didn't actually measure. See picture.
A: 1-6 are express buttons
A: The LG over-the-range microwave model MVEL2137F is designed to be versatile and can accommodate different kitchen setups, including those without an external venting option. This microwave offers three venting options: exterior venting, recirculating (non-vented) venting, and convertible venting. If your kitchen does not have an external vent, you can configure the microwave to recirculate air back into the kitchen using charcoal filters, which help remove odors and impurities. For an apartment or condo where external venting might not be available, the recirculating venting option will work effectively. Just ensure to install the charcoal filters as per the user manual to maintain optimal performance. A: No, it does not. Best Buy says it does but "microwave" isn't listed as one of the appliances in the LG Skill and it doesn't show as a device in alexa. I contacted LG and confirmed there are no Alexa commands for this microwave
Q: What is the weight of the microwave? Do I need special support to hold it over the rang?
A: 61.5 lbs as indicated in the specs for the microwave. You should not need any additional support than the bracket that they provided you with in the box. The instructions and templates that is provided was more than adequate for the install in my case.
A: This replaced a LG LMH2012 OTR version. I was able to use the existing wall bracket as it appeared to be universal. It fit within my cabinet dimensions. I had to drill new holes for the top securing screws. I didnt drill a new cord hole and was able to use the existing one. I may have issues with removing a top screw to replace the carbon filter.
Q: Can you exhaust this outside?
A: Yes I bent mine to outside
