Q: WILL THISE DRIVE WORK WITH WINDOWS 10
A: I have Windows 10 and I just installed this writer and it works fine. No problems. I have a HP All in one computer.

A: yes. please, read my review of the product to learn what i know about the device's interaction with Apple computers--i had to find out the hard way.
Q: Can it be used as boot device?
A: The only difference between this LG Ultra-Slim Portable DVD Burner & Drive with M-DISC™ Support, Model # SP80NB60 other than features and if you had an internal DVD drive in your computer is just that this is external & the other is internal so it will work the same way. Dpending on which Windows operating system you have, you will have to change the boot order or boot sequence in your BIOS for bootable media in the USB port. Most computers use the F12 Key to access the Boot Menu...^IFV
Q: Install to laptop from disk?
A: Yes. I already did it.
Q: windows 10
A: No, the software does not completely install on Windows 10. It can play an audio CD, and if you download software separately it can play a dvd. However, all capabilities of the drive are not available because the software does not install via the CD provided (installation fails to complete). LG says an update should be available sometime in October 2015.
Q: Is this compatible with Windows 7 Professional?
A: Works with all versions of Win 7 and above.
Q: Is this compatible with a chromebook?
A: Use Chrome and have had no problems.
