Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Color, CompatibilityI own an ASUS IPS and another LG IPS 4K panel and this panel blows them out the water. Colors are the best I’ve ever seen and the response time set to FAST is very snappy and responsive. I wouldn’t recommend the FASTEST response time since it introduces some ghosting and overshoot. However, there might be some games out there where it would be beneficial. I mostly play FPS. Build quality and the stand are what you would expect from LG. If you are looking for an IPS for gaming, this is it! Honestly stunned coming from an LG 4K IPS panel as a daily driver and for gaming! Also Xbox one X looks fantastic on the 1440p setting on this monitor. I haven't used the Aorus 27’, but I imagine this is its direct competition. This panel is G-sync compatible and no issues thus far! HDR is good in my opinion, but I can only compare to another HDR10 panel. I don’t think this panel meets the HDR400 spec, but I think it’s good enough for gaming.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5First of all please disregard all negative review saying that LG lie about "1ms", because all other brand do so but actual benchmark still show that this monitor beat all other IPS monitor on the market by response time and input lag. Out of the box this monitor has excellent color thanks to DCI-P3 it cover more color space and make everything look more "pop". I wouldn't say that it is accurate but it is more eyes pleasing. sRGB has more natural looking color and temperature, it has been factory calibrated and you can find the report in the box. "Gamer1" mode can be annoying in some game red HP bar and red Potion look annoyingly red. I know it all come down to panel lottery, but my unit has perfect black, gray and white uniformity it only very small area on the left that has darker shade but it is still better than most IPS i have tested. IPS glow is minimal on this one as well, i know that some people complain about contrast but i it is overrated. I don't find it as bad as other claim it is. Everything is snappy, fast response time fast input lag even on screen display menu also fast.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Great for gaming, I use it with my PC, and PS4 pro. This monitor accepts the 4k signal (via HDMI 2.0) from PS4 pro and looks excellent. Colors look bright and vibrant compared to a TN panel. Handles motion great as well. I recommend the fast setting for 144 hz and normal setting for 60 hz. Fastest introduces ghosting so I do not recommend that setting.

Quality3 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5pros high Refresh Rate is great at handling motion blur Cons Poor quality control by LG my monitor arrived with horrible Bleed, i also saw the same thing happened to another buyer. The contrast ratio is worse than average even for an IPS display. This monitor can't display deep blacks, and this is especially noticeable in a dark room. i played the Resident Evil 2 Remake and it looked like a grey mess. So because of this i returned the monitor and bought a VA Panel i personally rather have deep blacks and a better image than 0-20% better response time. this is still a decent monitor though and if you are used to a TN Panel it would probably look great for you. just note there is a lot of miss leading information on this monitor, 1 ms response time" is generally *still* a lie.because the screen looks so bad in that mode that nobody will use it. they also claim HDR, But This model doesn’t even meet the lowly HDR400 level requierment. with no note of any local dimming support, so HDR is pretty bad also they said it would have Gsync then deleted what they said from their website and put a Gsync Sticker on the monitor to trick people into thinking it has built in Gsync when in fact it is just Gsync compatible.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The 1ms branding is gimmick at most but other than that, this monitor is the best 1140- 144hz out there. I have tried several monitors in this category and I can without a doubt say this is the only one in the price category that performs. Honorable mention goes to the Gigabyte Aorus AD27QD. Both these monitors handle the downscale/upscale of the ps4 pro easily. The picture is flawless. This is a must also if you are a FPS gamer. The response time is TN panel like.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This is the nicest display I have ever owned. In my opinion this is the best 2k monitor on the market. My personal issue is that the display I purchased has 1 dead pixel. Not a big deal because it's such a small black dot but it bothers me knowing it's there. Not sure if I can return it for this reason, hoping LG might respond to my review.

Q: Question1. Is this monitor with an actual G-Sync module in it or just G-Sync compatible with the latest nVidia drivers (basically, a FreeSync monitor) ? 2. Does this model have support for ULMB (ultra low motion blur)? Thank you!
Asked by Timmy22
- A:Answer The LG 27” Class QHD Nano IPS UltraGear™ Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC™ (27” Diagonal), Model # 27GL850G-B is not a G-SYNC™ compatible monitor. G-SYNC™ compatible monitors are Freesync monitors that Nvidia engineers have tested and confirmed to receive a G-Sync compatibility update and therefore support adaptive sync with Nvidia GPUs...^IFV

Q: QuestionI understand this monitor is G-Sync compatible, but without a physical G-Sync module inside. As of now, is LG planning on releasing another version of this monitor with a physical G-Sync module inside in the foreseeable future?
Asked by Insanewiggle
- A:Answer Any LG monitors that are slated to be released for 2019 would have been unveiled and showcased at CES2019 and LG would have confirmed that with a Press Release announcing any future plans of releasing any other versions as they did with the LG 27GL850 27" UltraGear™ Nano IPS 1ms Gaming Monitor with G-Sync® Compatibility, Model # 27GL850-B. If LG intends to release another version of this monitor before year's end, they will put out a press release announcing such plans and until such a time, we regrettably will not have information with regards to future plans that we can share...^IFV

Q: QuestionGreetings, In light of the recent news about Nvidia starting to certify Adaptive-sync monitors as G-sync compatible, does "NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible" mean this model will support Freesync as well? Thank you for your time.
Asked by Heidy99
- A:Answer The recent announcement from NVIDIA at CES 2019 was that it will bring G-Sync support to several Freesync monitors. Their engineers tested four hundred Freesync monitors and found 12 monitors that they confirmed to get G-Sync compatibility through a driver that was to be released on January 15th. The LG 27” Class QHD Nano IPS UltraGear™ Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC™ (27” Diagonal), Model # 27GL850G-B is a G-SYNC™ monitor and the NVIDIA announcement does not mean that this monitor will support Freesync as well. It's actually the other way around, meaning that Freesync monitors that have been tested and confirmed to receive G-Sync compatibility will offer adaptive sync with Nvidia GPUs...^IFV
