A: The magnetic pieces have a sticky backing, kind of like 3M adhesive and it's fairly strong. The product comes with 2 magnetic pieces that you can either attach to your phone or phone case. Hope this helps.

A: The mount comes with a smooth round plate that has double sided tape to mount on dash. Then you use the suction cup on that piece. You do need a flat spot but it does not have to be completely smooth.

A: ...just peel off the old adhesive. It takes some work and it's a plan, but it comes off. Then go get some good 2 sided tape and you are all set. Worked for me

Very cool form and function...time will tell Qlty?
Great product on design form and function. Easy to assemble and works well but like ALL suction related things, we'll have to see how well it holds in the hot summer sun and over months of temperature changes. very easy to use, good size and adjustable and I was stunned at how well the thin magnet you put on the phone holds to the unit on the windshield. Makes it over a year and one summer with out falling off, I'll rate it a 5 star.

One of the best magetic mounts
I tried multiple products before settling on this. The reason I liked this is not only because of the mounting options and sturdy base but because it is one of the strongest magnets that have held thru almost all bumps, bounces and vibrations I can throw at it. I have been driving in some urban streets with lot of potholes and areas of construction as well as on highways. Nothing could upset my phone from this magnet! I love ease of use and form factor. If anything I can change about it, I would love to add a swivel base so it can be similar in flexibility like ball magnets. Price could come down a little too but don't we all want it cheaper? :)
