Q: How does this compare to the Sanus XF228?
A: The main difference I found (and the reason I bought this one over the alternative) was the extension. That extra 4" from the wall is very difficult to find and gave me what I wanted.
Q: Can this be used with Vizio M80-C3 VESA 600 x 600??
A: Per sanus's website, no. VESA mounts 200 x 100 through 700 x 435
Q: Will this mount fit a 42" Panasonic?
A: Absolutely this will fit a 42" without a problem. It may be overkill with the price though. You might want to google wall mounts for 31". I think there are some that are cheaper for that size TV but still offered the extended distance from wall. I had to go with this one due to the TV size. You won't be unhappy though either way...this is a great mount!
Q: Wrong mount pictured!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: Nope that is the right mount pictured, at least it is at the moment.

The ease and range of tilt and swivel is beyond expectation. The Geek Squad installer actually did a chin up on the mount to test its strength before mounting my TV. It's pricey when you include the installation cost, but it's worth the price.

This big boy does anything you can think of. The only bad thing I have to say about it is once we opened the box the original unit we not assembled correctly at the factory. Once it was substituted for another unit all was well.

It won't wash the dishes or mow the lawn, yet it still serves a useful purpose. I usually buy the extravagent, basically because I want features. This mount by Sanus is really a top notch mount. Packaged well with very clear instructions. I am not particularly handy by any means, actually I'm antihandy. Youtube videos also were helpful, you do not need to pay for some crazy high priced install, as it was fairly easy and only took about an hour. I did it completely myself, which was easy enough, although mounting the actual television did take some doing as that was the heavy part. Ive noted that the mount does not slide very easiy, I guess that is just part of it, you really have to force it to slide either direction and the mount is not as fluid as I would have hoped, but its a heavy duty mount, and it moves where it wants to, more than were you want it to. The little disk wheels are hidden behind the tv, and they are somewhat confusing to be honest, that part is more asthetics than actual function it appears, although they do work ok. I think if you purchase this, you probably want to pull your tv off the wall for whatever reason, and you typically like to buy expensive things, because thats about the only reason to buy this unit. For me, I just wouldn't have anything else, but thats just the type of consumer I am.
