Q: Can I use this for my IPad ?

A: Absolutely. It's a standard lightning cable. Works fine for my iPhone 12, iPad Pro, Air Pod Max, and any devince requiring a lightning to USB A cable.

Q: I bought this item 2 months ago and it already broke. Is there a warranty or something?

A: I have never had a Native Union charging cord break. Some I have had for 2 years. I would check with Best Buy. It sounds like it may have been possibly defective. Mine are nearly indestructible. I have dogs and cats trying to mess with them.
