This Nest Learning thermostat features Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can adjust the temperature from anywhere using your mobile device.
A: T3007ES is only the 3rd generation Nest Learning Thermostat while BH1253-US includes a Nest Temperature Sensor along with the Nest Learning Thermostat.
A: I have two thermostats in my home and the nest thermostat replaces the individual thermostat. If you have two then you replace the two with nest. The sensor can go anywhere that you want to control the temperature. You can program the sensor to be controlled by a specific thermostat. It can't work for two thermostats, so you'll need to get another sensor as well. The sensor tells the thermostat what you want to happen when the temperature reaches a certain level. Thats why you need two. If the temperature downstairs is contolled by a different thermostat then that sensor needs to tell that thermostat what to do to change the temperature for that area.
A: The Nest Learning Thermostat will still be able to run your AC or heating without internet, however you will not be able to control it using the app until your internet connection is restored.
A: You will be compatible as long as your wires are low voltage (20-30V), 18-22 gauge solid copper. You'll connect R to Rh for power and W to W1 to control heating. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out to our support team as we'll be happy to help. nest.com/help
Q: Is this the 3rd generation thermostat?
A: Yep!
A: You should be able to do this with the Nest. Using the mobile app I've set the thermostat with my phone to "unoccupied" when we leave and then switch it on 30 minutes before we get back - that's great during very hot or very cold weather.
A: Yes
Q: If I don’t have WiFi in my house will the temp sensor work if put on other side of house?
A: Nest Temperature Sensor connects to your Nest thermostat via Bluetooth after you add the sensor to your Nest ecosystem by scanning the QR code on the back of the sensor with Nest App. You can find more details about Nest Temperature Sensor here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9248154
