Good, but wall bracket good be better.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Device works good except for wall attachment. Device connection to bracket is weak, so you have to use extra wall plate included if your wall is not exactly flat. Which means not as clean looking. Would be better if clips on device were stronger.

Great customer support!! Bumpy road at first
||Posted .So... when I first installed the thermostat, it would connect to my network (my WiFi) but somehow it wasn’t able to connect to Nest servers... which is required in order to get an ‘entry code’. (The ‘entry code’ is required to connect your smartphone/tablet app with the thermostat and essentially enables the smart thermostat capabilities.) I searched online and several users on the Nest community forum had reported the same issue on the same weekend. Some had contacted support. We gathered that it was supposedly an issue with the Nest + Temp Sensor combo packs. Either way Nest had their engineering dept. working on the issue. After two days of not being able to get an entry key I uninstalled the unit and planned on returning it after work. Luckily I didn’t have to. Nest took the reports seriously and fixed the issue. They pushed out an update and when I got home I reinstalled the thermostat. The unit updated, and miraculously the update worked. Since then it’s worked as advertised with the app support/smart capabilities fully enabled. It’s awesome that the company quickly recognized the problem and fixed it. Saved me the hassle of exchanging it, and now I have Nest. Win win.

We love this product!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. My husband and I love the Nest thermostats. We originally purchased one for our main floor thermostat and we were so pleased that we bought this bundle for the upstairs unit and we used the added sensor with the downstairs one, in the master bedroom. Now we can adjust the hallway thermostat to 68 and even if its cooler out there as it tends to be, once the temperature reaches 68 in the bedroom, the unit shuts off. No more waking up in the middle of the night because the bedroom is so hot! And the upstairs thermostat can be adjusted or even locked when teenagers crank it way up or way down! We also love the ease of scheduling throughout the day and week. I'll turn it up (hotter) on winter mornings which forces me out of bed. Better than an alarm clock. We also have it paired with Alexa for easy voice control. My husband loves looking at the app to see usage and trends. Great buy!!

Money saver
||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed.Upgraded from a Honeywell programmable thermostat. It is like night and day. Love being able to control from the app and the automatic set to away when I leave, saving me energy and money. being able to schedule when to use the sensor as the primary thermostat for temperature control is also a nice feature, since my house is a split level but my AC is only 1 zone, I can have the kids bedrooms comfortable for them at night when they sleep and the main part of the house comfortable during the day when we are using it.

My favorite smart home item!
||Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. My Nest thermostat has saved me so much money on my FPL bill because of the accuracy of the temperature readings. My bill decreased by $41 the first month after I installed it. Being able to raise the temperature a few degrees while I'm not home has been so convenient. (I forget when I'm late and running out of the door). I'm a nurse so my schedule is very unpredictable so I appreciate this feature and find it more convenient for my hectic lifestyle. There's an option to set a schedule if that's more convenient and would rather not have to make adjustments all the time. Also, I love that I can monitor the humidity level in my apartment especially since I live in South Florida.

Easy DIY install and perfect for Multi floor home
||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed. So my friend asked few days back about Nest reviews and whether temperature sensor works well in a duplex / multi story home? My answer as an user of more than 1 year is YES, it works as expected. I am actually really happy how much we are saving on electricity by choosing between either central thermostat which is on 1st floor and temperature sensor which is in our master bedroom on 2nd floor. Nest App shows you all sensors and you can choose which sensor it should pick to set target temperature. Now to other aspects; Installation: Easy DIY. I would wish Nest provides some insulation caps and wires as I have little old construction and wire coming out of wall was shorter and had to make extension myself by finding wires and taping it with electrical tape. App/Usage: Intuitive. No clutter on UI and works as expected. Customer support: Awesome. Fast and fixed the issue. But now the reason for 1 star less in review is I had to call once on the onset of cold weather when we were switching from heat to cold. And we had to rewire in order to have heater work. Not the best solution and I would prefer software solution to it. Purchase: Best Buy has best deal and it was smooth process. Overall: Helps us save electricity and time. Very useful.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between BH1253-US and T3007ES? They seem to be the same product, but why do they have different weight? Is outer color of the rim the only difference? Or what kind of smart devices they work with?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer T3007ES is only the 3rd generation Nest Learning Thermostat while BH1253-US includes a Nest Temperature Sensor along with the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Q: QuestionI am currently having a two story house built with a two zone furnace (baffled). It will have two thermostats, one upstairs and one downstairs. I want smart control. Do I have to buy this product and put the sensor upstairs, or buy two Nest thermostats?
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer I have two thermostats in my home and the nest thermostat replaces the individual thermostat. If you have two then you replace the two with nest. The sensor can go anywhere that you want to control the temperature. You can program the sensor to be controlled by a specific thermostat. It can't work for two thermostats, so you'll need to get another sensor as well. The sensor tells the thermostat what you want to happen when the temperature reaches a certain level. Thats why you need two. If the temperature downstairs is contolled by a different thermostat then that sensor needs to tell that thermostat what to do to change the temperature for that area.

Q: QuestionWhat happens if you lose internet for a day or few hours? Will this still operate with your AC unit? (or will you not have AC for that time period??)
Asked by Sunshine407.
- A:Answer The Nest Learning Thermostat will still be able to run your AC or heating without internet, however you will not be able to control it using the app until your internet connection is restored.

Q: QuestionCan the Nest be connected properly with these 2 wires? On my existing thermostat, one wire is connect to W, one is connected to R.
Asked by Jaa999Pa.
- A:Answer You will be compatible as long as your wires are low voltage (20-30V), 18-22 gauge solid copper. You'll connect R to Rh for power and W to W1 to control heating. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out to our support team as we'll be happy to help. nest.com/help

Q: QuestionHave a cabin which we close up for winter. However, keep one small well insulated room heated. Have 2 thermostats, switch main off and turn small room on. Can this be accomplished with a Nest e and a sensor? Would like to heat main prior to arriving.
Asked by Cabinguy.
- A:Answer You should be able to do this with the Nest. Using the mobile app I've set the thermostat with my phone to "unoccupied" when we leave and then switch it on 30 minutes before we get back - that's great during very hot or very cold weather.

Q: QuestionIf I don’t have WiFi in my house will the temp sensor work if put on other side of house?
Asked by Cbrandt.
- A:Answer Nest Temperature Sensor connects to your Nest thermostat via Bluetooth after you add the sensor to your Nest ecosystem by scanning the QR code on the back of the sensor with Nest App. You can find more details about Nest Temperature Sensor here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9248154
