Description

Plain Paper Fax/Copier generates 20 multiple copies, as well as enlarges, reduces and collates. Fax machine is Caller ID compatible with two lines of up to 16 characters available in the display for the name and number of your incoming callers. Automatic fax/phone switching eliminates the need for an extra phone line by connecting an external answering device (sold separately) to receive voice and fax messages on one phone line. Plain Paper Fax/Copier actually distinguishes between fax and voice calls. Offers Caller ID Waiting, monitor speaker phone, 10-sheet automatic document feeder, out-of-paper reception system, modem speed of 9.6Kbps and distinctive ring detection. Fax memory holds up to 24 pages (300KB). Automatic document feeder offers a 10-page capacity. Paper tray holds 20 sheets.

We are happy with the product itself just very disappointed that we were not told that the product was obsolete, we were not told that it only had a sample size ink cartridge in it, you do not sell ink for it, and we are having a difficult time finding ink. You gave us a $15 credit back, but this does not resolve our ink problem.

`I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that only have limited use of a fax machine. Really any ideal product, easy to follow instructions and light weight. Does not require much space.

Simple and fast fax Machine

This Panasonic fax machine is a good update to the previous models. If you are familiar with past models then there is no learning curve with this one. Its smaller than previous models with improved paper loading on the top(finally no paper jamming!). Easy button controls are very nice with an easy to read monochrome LCD display (a back-light on the display would have been nice though). For a standard black and white fax machine the print quality is very good. It uses a type of ink scroll that is installed in the middle of the machine. No liquids or streaking to worry about. It has a 28 page memory in case of an error receiving a fax (about half a megabyte of memory). Which is a lower amount than some fax machines but shouldn't be a big deal to the average home user. Lastly, it also has a copying feature that allows you to use it a xerox machine. All in all this is a great fax machine for everyday home use

Good quality for price

Bought it to replace it's previous version. Paper jam problem was lifted and the other features like it's compact designs were intact. Good quality for it's price. But not meant to be for a rush faxing, it will take a while for each page to be scanned to fax.

- Answer Hi, Yes, you would still need to have a phone line to get it working. Not unless you just plan to use it as a copier which the machine can do without a phoneline. Hope this helps,

QuestionFax Compatibility Problem with Telephone Answering Machine SystemI've heard that some fax machines demonstrate an incompatibility with house telephones that have a built-in answering machine system. Can you confirm if the Panasonic KX-FP205 has this problem? Thanks,

- Answer The KX-FP205 is compatible with an answering machine. Just connect an external telephone answering machine and set the ring count of the answering machine to less than 4 rings and set the ring count in FAX ONLY mode of the fax machine to “5 EXT.TAM”. Doing this procedure will allow the answering machine to still record messages and the fax to receive documents without a problem.

- Answer Hi, Sorry but the KXFP205 doesn't have that feature. The speaker phone feature is commonly found on our models which has a built in answering machine. Hope this helps,

- Answer Comes with an ink cartridge but with limited use. Replacements are very reasonable, I bought 3 extras.
