• Unless you are playing large MMO games or using photoshop cs6 youll be fine.. and if you are just get another 8gb of ram and youll be fine

• It may make your lap warm if you use it longer period of time on your lap and watching movies.

• I always have the same worry. My old laptop used to actually hurt me and get significantly slower when it would overheat! This laptop has fans on the bottom corners, so I barely feel ny heat even after several consecutive hours of use!

• Not sure. I use it on a desk but don't sense that the temperature is a problem. Feels nice and cool most of the time.

• I usually just use it at the kitchen table or a desk. So I don't know how hot this will get. My guess is that it WILL get hot. For around $20 you can get a laptop cooler that will allow air to flow between the computer and your lap. Might be worth it.

• I have had the Mac Book Pro for about a month and have not had any trouble with a warm or hot computer. The old mac book I had did get warm and was not always comfortable on a lap. This Mac with the solid state drive seems to be running cool. No problems on the lap in planes or at home.
