The typical answer is none but I don't think that is really true anymore. I use sophos free anti-virus since there are Mac viruses. https://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools.aspx They have a whole lot more for just about any level of protection you want if you choose to upgrade. The other best practices are to use common sense when visiting websites and not to click on ANYTHING that looks suspicious. It is important to keep all your software up-to-date since there are specific exploits that come from existing programs such as Excel for Mac 2011.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Security as in protection from viruses or security as in identity protection? The encryption and password protection on Mac OS is pretty healthy protection and viruses are so few and far between it's not really worthwhile to use an always-on antivirus like on a PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To answer your question, you don't but you can get Kaspersky from the Geek squad as extra protection to be safe or Norton offers a Mac protection system. Mac does not have windows. Its the software Windows that is subject to viruses and Malware from Microsoft. Not having Windows, Macs are not, but you can get Malware, or so I am told. I personally have never got malware or anything remotely damaging and I don't know anyone that owns a Mac that has but to be sure I run the Kaspersky as it came free when I bought the Mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had many PC's and they always required some type of security software! I can honestly say…in the 8 years of using my 3 Apple computers I have NEVER got infected with any virus. Not saying it will not happen…but knock on wood. I have never had to purchase any security software for any of my 3 Apple PC's!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't really need any on the OSX operating system. OSX has whats called Gatekeeper built in, which was an Apple designed OSX security feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security. This subscription will protect against any physical damage to the computer as well as any Internet viruses or threats.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just use Kaspersky and it works well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I personally use the free version of avast! antivirus in conjunction with the built-in firewall. You barely know it's there and the combination does an excellent job of protecting your system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None, it comes together with its OS
