A:AnswerI feel that it works well when writing on the glass screen or if you have a tempered glass screen protector. Th wonky problem is that it’s slippery and feels awkward. I purchased a matte paper like screen protector, so when you write, there is a little resistance and sounds/feels like you’re writing on actual paper and the accuracy is way better. They’re under $15 on Amazon and worth the investment. The only issue with the paper like screen protectors is that it will wear out the tip of your pencil faster.
A:AnswerI don’t know about the iPad compatibility, but I can tell you that you don’t have to have a screen protector. The pencil glides very smoothly and has never made any marks on my iPad. I don’t have a screen protector and I have used an Apple Pencil for years without any issues.
A:AnswerYes the the generation 1 apple pencils is designed to be used with the Ipad Air. I’ve been using mine with my Ipad for a couple of weeks now and couldn’t be more happier with the end product!
