- Answer Apple's site says that in regards to the iPad Pro 12.9" series, this Pencil will only work on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th generations.

- Answer It can only connect with an usb cord. The I pad 10th gen charger is the cord you use to plug into your Ipad and apple pencil which causes it to connect .
