- Answer once jailbroken, you can play ANYTHING. Out of the box, its limited to only videos available on itunes. I highly suggest you google how to jailbreak it, extremely simple to do and will expand this to be the most universal media center around. I have one of these on ALL my TVs, all jailbroken and they play ALL my media off my windows 2008 r2 server flawlessly using the XBMC app.

- Answer The Apple TV is not intended for this purpose. It only displays content delivered through the network from Netflix, iTunes, NBA, NFL and anything on your computer that is playable via iTunes.

- Answer No, there is no way to add functionality to it. There is a Remote App for the iPhone/iPad that controls it, though.

- Answer The apple tv is equipped with an hdmi output port which is capable to transmitting both hd video and audio to your hdtv with only one cable. if you have a surround sound receiver in the mix the apple tv also has an optical (toslink i think) audio out, just run a toslink fiber cable from the atv to your stereo. some newer receivers also have hdmi inputs if yours is compatible you should just be able to run the hdmi from the atv to the receiver then a second hdmi cable from your stereo to your tv.

- Answer Depends on what you use... Netflix is a monthly fee of $7.99 all you can eat. All other movies are the same cost as they would be on iTunes.

- Answer AppleTV is your best bet. Stream from iPod or computer and control either from iPod or iPhone. It's a steal at $99 and you don't have to buy any additional software.

- Answer ATV2 does NOT have a navtive Hulu application on it, but I have heard if you jailbreak it you maybe able to install it. I'm not recommending it, but its an option. Google is your friend......

- Answer This will not allow you to stream content directly for the Nick Jr site. The iTunes store does have a lot of Nick Jr. content for purchase. That's what my family has done. We have bought many seasons of shows for our 3 year old.

- Answer Most movies and TV shows are available to rent or buy. Prices vary but if you choost to buy, it your forever. If you choose to rent, you have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and 24 hours after you've started viewing to finish it.

- Answer The new Apple TV requires a TV capable of displaying 720P HD. It will work fine with a projection TV that can support that and has either an HDMI or DVI port. The use of an adapter is required for TV's with only a DVI port.
