• A:Answer Hi Steven - no, this modem is not equipped with a phone jack. If you are looking for a product with VoIP support, try the ARRIS SURFboard SVG2482 (this model inlcudes Wi-Fi) or SBV3202 (this model does not include Wi-Fi and would require a separate router for Wi-Fi) Also note that these are only compatible with Comcast Xfinity VoIP service. • A:Answer FiOS does not use modems. Your cable modem is useless with FiOS. FiOS uses routers. The router connects to the ONT's WAN port using MoCA (coax) or Ethernet. The installer will enable one of the ONT's WAN ports. If you order 150Mbps or higher speeds, they will have to use Ethernet. For slower speeds, coax is the default

• A:Answer YES.YOU WILL ALSO NEED A WIRELESS ROUTER. I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS A APPROVED MODEM FOR MEDIA COM, IT DOES WORK WITH COMCAST. GO TO MEDIA COM'S WEBSITE AND CHECK FOR APPROVED MODEMS.

Q: QuestionI have a linksys ea6350 and I am buying a motorola arris surfboard 600 serieswill I be able to run 2 HP laptops, a portable scanner, a brother mfc J870, a Samsung 60" plasma, a Samsung soundbar, a Samsung bluray dvd player, a roku3, and stream movies all at the same time, depending on the internet service? And how much Mbps will I need? Can the Linksys & Motorola handle all this? And would I hook all this up with a cable into house, then to modem, then to router, then to Ethernet, HDMI, & USB I think I have it down, but new to this networking. --Joe S.

• A:Answer I have this modem.. Assuming you are paying for high enough speeds from your cable provider.. You should be fine.. I have 155Mbps from Cox using this modem.. On a normal day we are streaming HD movies/tv shows to all the TVs in our house via AppleTV at the same time and my child is watching YouTube/playing games.. And I am still able to VPN to the office with no issues...

• A:Answer The SURFboard SB6183 does not have built-in Wi-Fi capability. It’s a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem only, meaning it provides an Ethernet connection to your router or PC, but does not broadcast any wireless signal by itself. If you need Wi-Fi, you’ll need to connect the SB6183 to a separate wireless router. The Wi-Fi frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) will depend on the router you use, not the modem.

The SB6183 is officially approved for use with Comcast Xfinity residential internet service and supports cable internet plans up to around 300–400 Mbps. However, it will not work with Xfinity voice service.

• A:Answer You can connect a Wi-Fi router with WAN (Internet) Ethernet port to the SB6183 with an Ethernet cable. We suggest contacting T-Mobile Support if their internet device can connect to a cable modem.
