A:Answer Yes, you can use a monitor. But apart from being bigger and easier to see, a 240hz (I'm assuming 1080p res) monitor won't be much of an improvement over the 144hz that the laptop can do. (That's if the games you play can even reach higher than 144 fps, which many can, but they are usually those competitive e-sports games like Rocket League and CS:GO.)
I too have my Asus Tuf hooked up to a 240hz/1080p monitor, but I wish I had a 144hz/4k monitor instead. Number 1, I can't tell a difference between 240 and 144 fps. Number 2, I definitely CAN tell a difference with 4k. And with this laptop, 4k is definitely out of reach when it comes to the latest AAA games, but it's perfectly doable for some older games I still play.
