• A:Answer We are using this in a 2 story home that is 3000 sf with no problem. It also works outside on our guest house. It's really a great system and we haven't been annoyed by telemarketers with the screen feature.

• A:Answer NO light indicator on EITHER the Handset OR the base. That is why I gave it 2 star rating. And you need to pick up phone AND light up screen to see the message saying "New Voice Mail message" . And to make it worse, when listening to messages - new or saved - you need to wait until message if played fully through - before you can hit 7 to delete it!

• A:Answer No, the feature must be activated or all calls will come through. When you do have the feature turned on, you do have an allow and block list. So if you already know some common numbers that call in, go ahead and add them to the list. Basically what happens is, the caller will receive an automated response saying smart screen is active, please say your name or whatever after the tone. On my side, while the screening is happening, the phone will flicker and light like it's ringing, but with no audible tones. After the caller announces their name, your phone will ring and it'll say "Call from <plays audio recording of whatever the caller said>" Like receiving a collect call back in the day. If you get a call from someone you forgot to add, you can easily just go through the caller ID history and click save and add to allow list. Pretty slick features.

• A:Answer The phone will still work while the land line is disconnected, so I don't see why you couldn't just run it that way. You can connect up to two cellphones by bluetooth which are seen as separate lines on the handsets, so yes, it will work with just cell phone lines and without a land line.

Q: QuestionI hoped the call blocking feature could be set to automatically allow all numbers that were imported from our cells phones, but it does not seem to do this. Is there some setting I am missing?
