QuestionI have a camp in an area with no internet service. My at&t cell phone work fine there, and I have an unlimited data plan for my phone. With this hotspot, would a wireless surveillance system such as Ring work in this remote location using my cell data?

- Answer The answer is "NO" and that's directly from AT&T. Yes, this device will work but in order for them to allow it access on your unlimited plan which I'm assuming is grandfathered in like mine as they do not offer it anymore, they will REQUIRE you to switch to a new plan that does not allow unlimited hotspot. Therefore, you CAN use the device but only if you are willing to give up your unlimited data plan.

- Answer I bought for full price pulled out the AT&T sim and put a Net Buddy sim in and it works great!

QuestionThe picture shows a blue light up in the corner. I have a continuously blinking Red light. Device has been plugged in for over 24 hrs. Shouldn't this light turn to a solid blue when operational?

- Answer Hi, Sometimes what happens is that it Will stop charging if it feels the batteries too hot. This is a known issue with this hotspot

- Answer This device is 200.00. As of now it is the best hotspot device out there. The operation of the device depends on where the cell tower is from you for the best reception. I connected mine to a router and my reception is much better than before.

- Answer We have tried using a foreign (non-US) sim card and it did not work for us. The unit comes with an AT&T SIM card inside with no plan attached to it. We did use an AT&T prepaid program with it and it worked fine.

- Answer Your T-Mobile hotspot should provide you with wifi however the range may be limited. At home this can cause issues. You should check the settings on the hotspot and see if you can extend the range. Otherwise you can get a wifi extender to plug in at the edge of the hotspots range to give yourself more coverage. As far as getting a better cell signal you may need a signal booster with an external antenna.

- Answer Yes, it takes a SIM card, but I can't tell if i the device is locked or whether you can use a different SIM card. The card slot is located under the battery. It is a larger SIM, so if you have an iPhone or device with a nanoSIM, you will need an adapter. Note the range is a bit limited, so if you were planning to use this over a large area, it might not work well. After about 20-30 feet you lose the signal.

- Answer You shouldn't have any problem using your unlimited line. If the sim card you have doesn't fit (full size sim card. Not micro like new phones take) just go in to a store for the correct size sim card on that line.

- Answer The plan is separate from the netgear router. My monthly plan is with AT&T through a business which allows me to get a better rate. But once you Get your plan from AT&T, or Verizon & install your SIM card, you will be good to go. I hope this answered your question.

- Answer You'd have internet as long as there's cell coverage. If you aren't near a cell tower, then you wouldn't have internet, just like a cell phone.
