- Answer Yes, for your Brother MFC-J4355DW, you can print in Black & White (Grayscale) even if a color cartridge is low, but you need to change settings in the driver, and it's a temporary mode that requires all cartridges to have some ink for print head health, so you'll need to replace the low one eventually to keep printing We can help with that.
