- Answer You can go to Canon.USA, and look up your printer for updates at anytime. Canon printers last quite a while. This mega tank seem to have that heritage.

- Answer It will scale the picture size to meet the size of the paper. You have the option of using a default or custom setting or to fit to the page. In addition you can set the margins to print marginless or using a default or thin margin.

- Answer Using the scan from the app is why I returned this item. It scanned each page as a separate document, and saving was a pain too. Returned the Canon and purchased another Epson because their scan app is excellent!

QuestionI can use the document feeder to scan multiple sheets and fax multiple sheets, but I cannot figure out how to copy a five-page document via the feeder. without laying each one on the glass separately. So time-consuming. Am I missing something?

- Answer This printer has an automatic sheet feeder for copying and scanning. It is on the left side of the top surface, and it has worked pretty well for me. It does not do both sides automatically, though. You’ll have to scan one side of all sheets and then flip them over and scan the other side.

QuestionI have an error reading 1270 back feed door open but it doesn’t appear to be. I can’t print with this error & no where in the instructions does it tell how to make sure it’s closed?

- Answer I had that same error when I installed my printer. It was frustrating to cure as the instructions were not very clear. In the rear paper feed area, there is a translucent plastic strip (cover) with a small roller in the center. Mine was flipped up in the position to add paper to the rear hopper. The rear cover needs to be flipped down.

QuestionCan you scan documents to a USB drive, and if so, what is the format (e.g.: PDF, JPG…)?

- Answer There is no USB port on the printer, so you can’t “directly” scan to a USB drive. However, you CAN scan from your computer to a USB drive pretty simply. The scanner will do JPEG, PDF, TIFF, BMP, and (I think) PNG formats with various bit depths. The formats will show up as options in the scanner driver.
