- Answer Yes it has option to have music on hold. choices from your own recording / pre recording or load from recorded recording or record from cell phone jack from cell phone and cord is provided.

QuestionMy vtech CM18245 deskset is reading out of range or CS no power. The main console went bad today and we replaced it with a new one and since then all the desk sets are reading this error message. I did all the recommendations to fix it.

- Answer Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech CM18245. The CM18245 is still registered to the old main console hence the error message. You need to deregister the deskset first from the old main console then re-register it to the replacement one. If you are no longer able to power on the old main console, we recommend that you contact our Customer Support at 1-800-595-9511. We are open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays. QuestionI need to replace a hard line office phone that is connected to two other phones, with 2 lines. Need call forwarding, answering machine, volume control & speaker phone. Any suggestions? When I try to use the select feature it only provides wireless.

- Answer Rob - Only the base of the VTech CM18445 requires connection to an electrical outlet and telephone jack/modem to get a dial tone. The compatible extension phone models CM18045 (Cordless Handset) and CM18245 (Cordless Deskset) connects wirelessly to the CM18445. The extension units only require connection to an electrical outlet. The phone system has a built-in Answering System, volume control and speakerphone feature. The system can only transfer a call from one extension to another on the same line but it cannot transfer a call to a different phone number. However, the unit is compatible with call forwarding service from your telephone service provider as long as you are subscribe to it. QuestionMy phone says out of range and no power at the cs then I disconnect the power from the main counsel and the extension deskset and it works again but it is happening more and more does this mean my main counsel is going bad?
