Q: QuestionCan I get a denon 3700h that was manufactured after may of 2021? Serial # above 70000+
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer The one I ordered from Best Buy myself was well within the range of serial numbers that include the May 2021 fixes. If you get one from before that, you could always just return it and order another.

Q: QuestionI will use 3 hdmi inputs which I expect to output to either my plasma TV or overhead projector. The overhead is 1080p and the plasma is 768p. I was told that the video signal will revert to the lowest of the 2 (768p). Is this true? Is there a workaround?
Asked by jefny.
- A:Answer Yes, this is true, to get the 1080p you would have to upgrade to a newer TV which at the current cost of TVs isn't bad for a better viewing experience.

Q: QuestionWill this model level be getting a new release for 2021 (I mean an x3800h or equivalent for the new model year)?
Asked by AVRshopper.
- A:Answer There's no info on a new version of the X3700H. We typically put that info on the website a few weeks before a new model is released.

Q: QuestionIn a 7.2.4 setting can i attach the preouts of the left front, right front, and center speaker to an external amplifier and use the avr's internal amp to power the remaining speakers. If so, are there any internal settings that need adjusting. thanks
Asked by lamooche.
- A:Answer Yes. This is an 11 channel set-up (7 plus 4 atmos). The X3700H only has 9 amps, so you have to use an external amp for the other 2 channels. I'm using my X3700H in a 5.2.4 set-up, with an external 5 channel power amp. I use the power amp for the front three speakers (LCR). The power amp is connected to the X3700H using RCA connectors; one connector for each amplifier channel.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with the Xbox Series X? That asterisk that it doesn't work with all 4k/120hz pass through is keeping me do rom buying this.
Asked by Rian.
- A:Answer No it does not work with the xbox series x. It seems no AVR's currently work with the series x due to a faulty chip set. A "fix" is supposedly coming but Denon has not yet said how to get the fix or when.

Q: QuestionI just bought this receiver today after taking back the Denon S650H which had an advertised 150W X 5 (BS). I have four Klipsch F1 towers rated at 150W each, and they sucked it dry. Will the 105W per channel with the 3700 still not be enough?
Asked by ZykraCosmos.
- A:Answer You dont need to give your speakers the max RMS. They will be fine at 105W per channel. Do some research.

Q: QuestionDoes the X3700H do analog to HDMI conversion?
Asked by AVnoob.
- A:Answer After setting up this receiver today I discovered that it does not do analog-to-HDMI video conversion, unlike its predecessor the X-3600H. Component video inputs will only be output to the component video outs, and composite video inputs will only be output to the composite video out. Only HDMI video inputs will be output to HDMI video out. So if you need analog conversion you can either add a third-party component-to-HDMI or composite-to-HDMI converter, or look at other models that have the conversion built in such as the X3600H or X4700H.
