Q: QuestionCan the dyson V10 animal use with 220 voltage electric?
Asked by Sue.
- A:Answer Hi Sue, this is Kelly with Dyson. A few of our machines use dual voltage transformers making them compatible across a range of voltages. This is why the chargers on the cordless state they will work on 110-240 voltage. However, it's still advisable not to use outside the country of purchase. One of the reasons for advising against the use of machine outside of the country that they are sold in is that the machines are tested and certified to meet that countries regulations and requirements. For example a US machine is tested and certified to UL, ETL and FCC regulations to ensure that it is fit for retail. In the UK this would be BEAB, BS, IEC and CE, Canada CSA and so on. Each country has its own rules and regulations. We do not guarantee that a machine used outside of the country it is sold in meets all of the requirements of the second country. Plus, per the owner's manual it explains not to use internationally to avoid impact Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionI have read that the battery time is only 7 minutes on the highest setting. Is that true? If so, can you report the battery run times for each setting?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Hello Mike, this is Kelly with Dyson. There are three suction modes with the Dyson Cyclone V10. The run times are as follows: With Motorised Head: 5 minutes (High) 20 minutes (Medium) 35 minutes (Low) and Without Motorised Head: 5 minutes (High) 30 minutes (Medium) 60 minutes (Low). The Animal model will also feature the torque drive cleaner head, which has a built-in suction control slider, for better control when vacuuming larger debris or even thicker carpeting. We have found that low or medium suction is ideal for everyday vacuuming, and high suction can be reserved for more stubborn messes. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionThere are so many models of Dyson Cordless stick vacuums - I'd like to know which is best for me. I have mostly brand new hard wood floors. Some rugs on those floors and one room of carpet. We will have a puppy that apparently isn't supposed to shed.
Asked by SEARCHINGFORMYDYSON.
- A:Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro would be a great model for your home. This machine includes our torque drive cleaner head, which is suitable for use on any flooring type. There is also a suction control slider right on the front of the head, to adjust to different floor types, or provide more space for larger debris. The soft roller cleaner head was engineered specifically for use on your bare floors, with no spinning bristles to damage delicate flooring. Also, this unit will include our mini motorized head, which is ideal for vacuuming hard to reach areas, such as stairs, furniture, etc. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionI recently purchased the V10 Animal Pro and the battery life is not nearly 40 minutes. It’s maybe 15 minutes. I charged it overnight, I’m hoping I just got a bad battery. I’ll be reaching out to Dyson to inquire.
Asked by Meredith.
- A:Answer Your battery life is dependent upon which power setting you have it on... Suction mode 1, Suction mode 2, or Maximum suction, unless you actually have a defective battery. I've gotten around 25 minutes or so using Suction mode 2.

Q: QuestionMy Dotson cyclone is showing a white sign under the blue arrows and the machine keeps switching off every few minutes and then starts again why is this and what does the light under the blue arrows mean ?
Asked by Mac.
- A:Answer I suggest you consult your Operating Manual, however, it might be the filter/blockage indicator. That appears to be the only other light that would be near the blue arrows (battery).

Q: QuestionPlease state the differences between V 10 Animal and V10 Animal Pro thank you!
Asked by Sue.
- A:Answer Hi Sue, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V10 Animal has our high powered torque drive cleaner head, that has a suction control slider built-in to the front of the head. As it's an Animal model, it also includes the mini motorhead which is great at picking up pet hair from furniture, stairs and other hard-to-reach areas. The Animal Pro will come with those, plus the addition of the soft roller head. This floor tool was engineered for bare and hard floors where you would not want to use a spinning brush bar. Run time and suction is identical on both models. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionCan you please spell out the tool differences in: V10 Animal V10 Animal Pro V10 Absolute Seems the Animal Pro and Absolute are the exact same. Is that correct?
Asked by STL.
- A:Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We are happy to help with this. All V10 Dyson cord-free machines offer the same 3 suction modes and performance. The difference among them will be variances in the tools that come with each machine. The V10 Animal Pro will come with your dusting brush, crevice tool, combination tool, mini motorized tool, as well as 2 cleaner heads: the torque drive and the soft roller head. Generally, the only model that includes the soft roller is the Absolute, however as this is a Pro model it does come with that head. The Animal Pro is also a store-exclusive machine, and not one carried on the Dyson website. The Absolute comes with the same tools; so they are indeed, the same model, based on attachments/tools. I hope this helps! Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
