- Answer Hello and thank you for asking this question. While it is possible to use a WIFI extender with an Eero router it is recommended to use additional Eero routers to extend the network. When more than one Eero router is used in the home they create a mesh network that blankets the whole home with WIFI coverage rather than “stretching” the signal like WIFI extenders do. QuestionI just had a video keypad garage door opener installed and the keypad is on the outside of the garage, which is on the opposite side of the house from my router. It gets a weak WiFi signal. Will one erro extend my wifi to the keypad outside my garage?

- Answer It is unlikely to. The way eero works is the primary/gateway eero is plugged into your internet source via ethernet. That gateway eero will create a wifi network. In this case the range is likely to be about the same as what you are getting now. Additional eero would be needed. Another eero would connect to the gateway eero (wired or wirelessly) and will broadcast the same wifi, extending your range. If you do want to try with one eero try one of the Pro models (eero Pro 6, Pro 6E, Max 7) as those have greater range than non-pro models.

- Answer Hi Tony! Thank you for your question. Our eero 6 router is dual band so it will broadcast both the 5Ghz band and the 2.4Ghz band simultaneously. After you finish the eero setup process, you’ll just need to connect your generator to the eero WiFi network. - Answer Yes and No. You can hardwire the head/gateway eero to your existing mesh router and you can get the eero online and working. In this case you would have two separate wifi networks, the original mesh router's network and the eero's wifi network. You cannot use this eero wirelessly off of a non-eero wireless network.

- Answer Yes you can. The eero would make it's own wifi network, so make sure to use a different name than what the netgear is providing (or change what the netgear is broadcasting). If you want devices on the eero network (like a computer) to be able to talk to devices on the netgear network (like a printer), make sure to put the eero into bridge mode (eero app->Settings->Network Settings->DHCP & NAT->move the dot to Bridge and click save).

QuestionI currently have an erro WI-FI 5 mesh system. 90% of the usage is in the room where the main hub is. Question, can I just replace the main router with the AX1800 and still use the other erro WI-FI 5 devices as they are?

- Answer Yes you can. You should be able to get some higher speeds from the eero 6, although an eero 6 Pro would do you better (it is tri band, so that gives that head eero three radio bands to talk to all the devices and the other eero on, that should boost performance). Your remote eero likely won't get a huge amount of higher speeds, but they may get some, unless you upgrade them as well.

- Answer Hi there, So if your ISP's(AT&T) data plan is 500Mbs the main eero connected to the modem will connect at those speeds(since it's hardwired to the modem). After you connect wireless devices and extra eeros, wirelessly, they will share the 500Mbs and some devices will get around 50Mbs up to 500Mbs, depending on the specific wireless device and it's location in your home.

The eero Beacon (2nd gen) is compatible with all eero generations and models, allowing you to mix and match to expand your mesh network. It works seamlessly as an extender with 1st, 2nd, 6, 6+, 6E, Pro, Pro 6, and Max 7, as well as with eero-enabled Amazon Echo devices. eero devices are designed to be backwards compatible. - Answer Hi mara! The eero 6 is a router and wireless access point, so what it does is separate from your modem. If your Comcast Modem is an all-in-one, meaning it is also how you access Wi-Fi, there are a few ways you can use the eero to improve your network. You'll probably want to switch the modem to bridge mode, this way the modem handles the internet connection while the eero handles the router connections. I would reach out to Comcast for information on how to do that, as different devices work differently. Once that's done you'll be able to set up the eero as your router using the free eero app. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
