  • QuestionAny ink tank printers that will print & scan in 11x17? I don't get why this prints up to 13x19 but only scans up to 8.5X14.

    • Answer Hello Butters. Unfortunately, for our EcoTank printers, 8.5" x 14" is the largest scan size. We recommend looking at the WF-7840.     • Answer Hello. The ET-15000 works with Wi-Fi 5 GHz routers, but the printer itself can only connect to 2.4 GHz bands. Be sure that your Wi-Fi router is set to broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so the printer can join the network. If you're referring to "5G," which usually means mobile data networks used by phones and tablets, that's separate. However, if you're trying to connect the printer to a mobile device, it will work over Wi-Fi. Just download the Epson Smart Panel app to set it up and manage printing from your phone or tablet. It does a solid job for everyday color prints, but it doesn’t have the specialized photo inks you’d find in Epson’s dedicated photo printers.   • QuestionDo you have to use color ink to get it to print just black? Other printers I’ve had will not print once one of the colors runs out until you replace it.

    • Answer Hello. Epson printers, including the ET-15000, contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors for normal operation. A small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, even when you're printing black text only. This prevents air bubbles from entering and damaging the print head itself. Also, please note that even when selecting to print in Black & White, the printer could still use a mixture of color inks to create black on your prints. Regards - Kevin - The Epson Team.
