QuestionI have a screen printing business and need to know if this will print the film positives. I was using a Epson photo 1400 that has torn up. I know the size is good for 13x19, but will it hand the thickness and print correctly.

- Answer The depth is 18” but it goes to 23” with the #2 tray installed with 11 x 24 paper. If you want to use the back feed tray for paper it will be even more.

QuestionWill the paper trays for the WF-7720 fit the WF-7840? I have several trays I use for different paper sizes, and wondered if they will fit the new model. (this was the case between the previous versions of this printer - ie 7620 to 7720)

QuestionDoes this printer have a rear feeder? I print labels out a lot, and the rear feeder makes it easy. It looks like there is one in the picture, but need to make sure that is not a document loader.

- Answer I have both the 7840 at the ES-580W, test set was a 4-page color document, 300 DPI scanned to emailed PDF: Epson 7840, Simplex Scan: 35 Seconds Epson 7840, Duplex Scan: 78 Seconds ES-580W, Duplex Scan: 9 Seconds I would not rely on this machine if I needed a lot of scans, the ES-580W is an excellent machine.

- Answer Hi BobPin, Drivers for the WorkForce Pro WF-7840 are available for download on the Epson support site. The WF-7840 includes a full set of cartridges in the box. A small amount of ink is used to prime the printer and the remainder is available for printing. You can scan 11" x 17" paper using the auto document feeder or by placing documents directly on the scan glass. If you want to connect to a computer using USB rather than wireless, you will need a standard Type-A to Type-B USB cable. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

QuestionWhy can't I print a 2 sided, borderless 8.5 x 11 brochure, like I could on my HP all in one printer? This could be a deal-breaker. As soon as I choose 'borderless' in the print driver, the option for duplexing is greyed out. Is there a way to unlock this?

- Answer Hi HankinCT, Sorry, the combination of settings you expect may smear the edges of the print as it turns over to print the back side. If you print the first side then manually flip the paper to print the second side it will work. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

QuestionDoes this printer work with plastic substrates? I use laser printers now but the plastic stickers curl a bit due to the heat. This printer is interesting because it’s heat free but I need the ink to stick to plastic and not rub off.
