Q: QuestionIf I get 2 for front and rear in SUV, will microphone from front cam also tell rear cam to save video since they're synced? Concerned that rear cam will not detect voice commands from being too far away.

• A:Answer Shouldn’t matter much, if you buy a 32gb SD card the data won’t be over written for months, even if you have the mini 2 on 24/7. I had a 8 gb card and it didn’t over write for 6 weeks. You can get to the data anytime via your phone or take the SD card out and see the videos on your PC. For that matter, get two SD’s and swap them out every month if you like seeing where you’ve been or interested images. If you speak loudly enough I’m sure that both cameras would keep your recordings. They work independently of each other.

Q: QuestionIf you want to add a rear view camera, do you just order two of the mini 2 cams? does the cable for the rear camera connect to the front camera? or do you need a special connector? Will the rear facing camera work ok for a Chevy pick up truck?

• A:Answer The mini 2 is a standalone dashcam however you CAN add another to your vehicle (separate power wiring) and then use the provided APP to manage both. Remember, there's no GPS functionality with these so you would need to use timestamp to line up both camera views and remember that you get 2 separate files. You'd also need to address each to LOCK a file set. As to usability as a rear camera for your needs, as long as you have a power source nearby OR don't mind running wires to the front, this is a great inexpensive solution. Personally, I bought a OBDII power cable for my front camera and use a power outlet in the rear of my care for the back.

Q: QuestionWhat kind of USB connector does this use? USB-A, USB-B, USB-C, USB-mini, or USB-micro? If it's not USB-C, how is it reversible?

• A:Answer It is usb-a to micro-usb and it comes with 2 cables so you can decide which to use (the heads are at a 90 degree angle so it doesn't really stick out). One head is set so the cable can drop straight down and the other so it plugs in with the cable going straight up and then can be run through the car's trim. (Would have liked to see usb-c, but having two micro-usb cable choices means it didn't cause a problem).

Q: QuestionDo you need to manually record and delete the videos while driving? I'm looking for a camera that records once I start my car and stops when I turn it off with NO activation needed. Also does this camera overwrite files if not uploaded?

• A:Answer You can use voice commands if you want to record a longer video, if the camera detects an incident (mine goes off when I hit the rumble strip on the highway) it creates a longer video. Any recordings you make through voice command or through "incident detection" will not be over written, all of the other video files are over written automatically one by one as the storage gets full. In my car, the camera comes on when I start it and shuts off when I turn the car off (as it does with all other usb powered devices).

Q: QuestionHi I have installed the mini 2 with the parking cable. Rocking the car etc does not activate the G shock sensor- I have to bang the windscreen exactly where the camera is fitted to make it record. How hard an impact does it need to start recording?
