A:AnswerIt’s pellet or nugget ice like you get at Taco John’s, Jimmy John’s or Sonic. See attached picture of the ice on the tray next to a penny for comparison.

A:AnswerReplying to GE….I’ve already called that number and spoken with. Customer Service twice, I’ve even spoken with the folks in Wi-Fi support and I was also given a number for a company in my area that services GE appliances, but they don’t work on the Opal. Thanks anyway though.
A:AnswerMy ice maker ran water for about an hour or two. Not exactly sure how long it took to make ice. I left after cleaning it multiple times and turning it on. I did wonder why water was flowing and not just being stored in the unit until ice was made.
A:AnswerHi - Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in our fabulous Profile Opal icemaker. This unit is designed and approved for indoor use only. It should be installed in a well-ventilated area with ambient room temperatures between 55°F - 90°F. We would not recommend using it outside on your covered patio. We are glad you checked with us. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
