We’re glad to learn that you’re loving your new Opal 2.0 icemaker, but certainly understand why you’d like some clarification on this issue. When you first start the Opal (or make a switch to the side tank) and it begins to make ice, the initial batches of ice nuggets will be slushy. After about 30 minutes, your Opal will be making good, solid nuggets.
