- Answer You can save recordings to your phone, IF you catch them within 3 hours of the event. Everything stored on the camera gets erased every 3 hours. Sneaky - really means you need to subscribe to make useful.

QuestionIs the included cord weatherproof? How do you mount an outdoor nest camera and hide the excess cable? I know that you can purchase an additional 5M/10M weather proof cable, but for plugging the camera into an exterior outlet, thats a lot of extra cord!

- Answer This is a battery-powered camera no electrical wiring needed. Battery will last more than a month. It is waterproof. The powered version with spotlight needs proper licensed electrician to install if you are not replacing and existing spotlight.

- Answer Hi, Pete! Yes, you can charge the Nest Cam (battery) with a solar panel. You might wanna check for the Wasserstein Solar Panel for Nest Cam (battery). With sufficient direct sunlight, it trickle charges your Google Nest Cam (battery) and the camera runs off the battery charge. You may contact your retailer for product availability.

- Answer It depends on how strong your Wi-Fi signal is. Your camera may be out of range if more than 25 feet from the router and can become disconnected due to weak signal. If your camera is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points. Nest cameras can connect to your Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidths, but 5GHz bandwidth has a smaller coverage compared to 2.4GHz.

- Answer NO! You will need to get google home app. Your old nest items can work with google home app but I’ve found it’s not 100 % compatible. While you can keep your old nest app with your old nest items while still using google home app with your new google nest & nest. I have both google home & nest as viewing my old nest products works better on the nest app. But google home is very smart & can be compatible with so much stuff. I have lights around my home hooked up to my google home app, able to shut off lights simply from the app. I could go on in which google home app offers there is a lot compatible just not our old nest products. I miss nest, it was a great product.
