- Answer Yes, it does. You still have to have a compatible modem that is what plugs into the cable then you run a CAT5 cable to the Google Wifi router.

QuestionWe currently have an Apple router and it works very well with gaming BUT for some reason the security on the router won't allow us to join friends' games on Xbox and also won't allow us to join parties on Xbox. Anyone know if these have the same issue?

- Answer Hey chase, I play a lot on Xbox live and I know exactly what issue you are having, your NAT might be set to strict and not allow you to connect to your friends online. If you get the Google WiFi system you shouldn't have the problem, but if you do you can call up Google support. I gave a call to Googles 24/7 support and the dude who helped me tapped into my network and changed the settings to allow my NAT to be opened so I could play with any of my friends*

- Answer The label on the bottom of the device says Made in China - Designed by Google. The China part is not surprising. Probably a majority of the devices you'll connect to this are made in China. Or Ireland.

QuestionI am moving to a home that is over 4,500 sq ft, which is the largest sq footage recommended for the 3 pack option. Would I be able to purchase an additional connection point if needed to cover the entire home or is 3 the max?

QuestionI have a wireless internet provider. Currently I have a N class router. I plug the rj45 from my provider directly into my router and my usb backup hard drive into the USB connection on the router. Will this product work in the same manner?

- Answer This device does not have a USB port, so you wouldn't have that part of it, but otherwise it would work the same as your existing router.

- Answer These router points communicate over a mesh network wirelessly, there are no cables (other than power of course) to plug into additional wifi points. Only the home point is connected to your modem. Adding additional wifi points would increase the square footage coverage

- Answer Yes, it works fine with the Frontier DSL router. You can either shut down the radio function on the router or you can just leave it running. It doesn't matter to the Google.

QuestionI have an ATT cellular Homebase unit for internet & home ph service. The homebase unit has weak wireless wifi range so need way to "extend/boost" range. Is this product compatible with an ATT cellular homebase unit? Homebase unit has 1 Ethernet port.

- Answer It would likely work in "bridge mode" to extent the wireless signal. You also may only need the single google wifi router. Good luck!

- Answer My house is ~2500 sq/ft with an attached garage. I placed one of the access points in the middle of the lower level and my garage has excellent WiFi signal strength now. Hope this helps.

- Answer Google states even large homes shouldn't need more than 6, but there isn't a limit but they suggest at most no more than 14. And the whole system works kind of like a cell phone network where they handoff as the signal degrades to the next point and so on so they all have the same SSID.

- Answer Depends on your overall speed and bandwidth but I would say yes. I have 3 unit setup and can get very good wireless signal by the pool, outside in the car and overall around the house. I think speed will depend on the type of devices on the network and the applications running (e.g. downloading files, streaming movies etc...)

- Answer Yes you do. This is simply a different type of router. You connect one of the three to the cable modem or DSL modem. The other two (called access points) you setup around the house or business where you want to enhance coverage.
