- Answer No. For a standard split system, it requires 5 wires. Y - compressor, G - fan, C - common, W - heat, and R/RC (jumpers)- 24V transformer.

QuestionMy current Honeywell ProSeries uses hardwired room temp sensors. Can the T9 make use of those existing wired sensors? Or must it be the wi-fi sensors packaged with the T9?

- Answer The T9 thermostat works efficiently with the wi-fi sensors that is packaged with the T9. There is no option in the thermostat settings to sync with existing wired sensors.

QuestionI have a Honeywell ProSeries I need to replace since the Smart Response can’t be overridden, even thru dev codes. Other models can can toggle Smart Response off, so you can adhere to no-peak times for power co. packages. Can the T9 disable Smart Response?

- Answer Yes, you do. You could buy the one without the extra sensors for a little less, but you'd still need 2 theromstats. The extra sensors are very nice though.
