QuestionWhen in Dry mode, should I have the exhaust tube in the window? The instructions say "don't connect OR disconnect the exhaust hose while in dry mode", which is confusing. The back exhaust is blowing hot air into my house.

QuestionThis thing just blasts out water! I figured it would condense out some but it filled an entire roll of pig matt in a few hours! Granted this is a garage in Florida I'm trying to cool off but I didn't expect such a constant flow!? Is this normal?

QuestionIs this supposed to come with a cover for the outdoor window vent? It's rather large and my window does not have a screen. I'm worried about bugs, birds or even small animals crawling into the unit.

- Answer There is no cover provided in the box for the outside ventalation, but there is foam strips for the edges to keep air & bugs from getting in from the edges of the window.

- Answer You have to use the window to bring in fresh air from outside. If you don't use the fresh air, then you're continually cycling the air inside the home, which is not healthy due to all of the chemicals etc. used in waterproofing carpet, pressure treating the wood, the PVC, etc.

QuestionThe flex hose that attaches to the back of the unit keeps falling out blowing hot air in the room. It should have come with a collar to put on the flex hose and it did not. Am I missing a piece. I cant use this ac??
