Q: QuestionIs this supposed to come with a cover for the outdoor window vent? It's rather large and my window does not have a screen. I'm worried about bugs, birds or even small animals crawling into the unit.

• A:Answer You have to use the window to bring in fresh air from outside. If you don't use the fresh air, then you're continually cycling the air inside the home, which is not healthy due to all of the chemicals etc. used in waterproofing carpet, pressure treating the wood, the PVC, etc.

Q: QuestionThe flex hose that attaches to the back of the unit keeps falling out blowing hot air in the room. It should have come with a collar to put on the flex hose and it did not. Am I missing a piece. I cant use this ac??

To activate the air conditioning function, first press the Power button to turn on the unit. Then, press the Mode button repeatedly until you reach Cool mode—this is the setting that enables actual cooling. The unit also has Fan and Dry modes, which do not cool the air. Once in Cool mode, use the temperature buttons to set your desired temperature. You can also adjust the fan speed using the Speed button. If the unit still doesn’t cool, make sure the exhaust hose is properly connected and venting hot air outside, and that the room temperature is higher than the set temperature. Q: QuestionIf I get a lo ger house and it goes above the unit will it still drain properly or will it turn its self off?
