- Answer Check the manufacturer warranty on it . When you get your new one make sure to buy the extended warranty for $20 it’s worth it .. and when it conks out you can walk up to customer service and if it’s available in store you can leave with your same ice maker that day.

- Answer Use filtered water from store bought gallons. Distilled water is good because it has no sediments. If you have mold build up, try keeping your ice machine in a darker cooler area.

- Answer It is a bit loud. It makes a trickling sound when it's filling the ice trays. It hums a little bit when it's filling, too, and then the sound of the ice dumping into the tray can be heard from pretty much anywhere in our small house. It took a little getting used to, but it doesn't bother me. It might bother someone who is sensitive to sounds.

- Answer The machine has a one year warranty. Ours stopped feeding water and not getting cold enough to make cubes, so I called Insignia about the policy. I brought it back to Best Buy and they automatically exchanged it.
