A:AnswerI think it cleans the edge between the carpet and a straight wall very well. The one exception is the corner. I think it doesn't quite reach perfectly into a corner. But overall, I think it cleans edges well.
A:AnswerIf the brushes in the front don't turn at all then the unit is defective and should be returned, repaired, or replaced depending on how long you have had it. If the brushes just don't turn when they're on your carpet then the pile on your carpet may be too high for the Roomba to work effectively. It isn't meant for use on things like shag carpet. I have a very low pile, almost industrial style area rug and it is absolutely superb for that and bumps happily over the edge cleaning just as effectively on the tile floor underneath. It picks up dog and cat hair equally well from both my long hair and short hair pets. I did have to clean the brush roller the first day I had it, but this is day 4 and I checked it again and they're fine, guess I just overwhelmed them that first day. Honestly, before you set this up for the first use you should really heavily vacuum your house so it's doing more maintenance than anything because the dust cup is pretty small, and you don't want to have to empty it 7 times the first time you use it.
A:AnswerI'm so sorry to hear that! May I recommend you start by reaching out to our Customer Care team, in case they can help? You can live chat, email or browse FAQ’s at https://www.irobot.com or call 877-855-8593.
If needed, you can purchase a separate Home Base, yes. It's model #4452369.
A:AnswerHi Karen- The robot's behavior depends on the weight of the rugs and the length of the fringe. If the rug is a bit heavier, or secured with a rug mat, Roomba may simply drive over the fringe. If Roomba can't drive over, its anti-tangle technology will cause it to back up and away from the fringe.
A:AnswerI can answer the question yes it'll be just fine. I scheduled mine to turn on every morning at 3:00 a.m. and my floors are super clean when I wake up. Hardwood floors downstairs and it's about $1,200 square feet
A:AnswerDealing with IRooba tech support is DIFFICULT!!
Very hard to hear, not primarily English speaking, and when the order was finally placed they didn't have the house number on the address!
Calling them to fix took 20 mins.!
Hope I get the replacement part.....
A:AnswerNo. You don’t need a smartphone to operate it. It has buttons on top you can manually push to start cleaning. However you do need a smartphone to schedule cleanings (every MWF @ 1p for example).
A:AnswerNot sure if it will run on a hotspot? I know for sure mine is on a continuous 2.4G wi-fi and if your 2.4 is shoddy, you're going to have connection issues. I ran into that issue myself.
A:AnswerWe have a number of carpets fron central asia with long fringe and it has yet to get tangled. This 675 does better then our old 900 series on fringe
A:AnswerNo, it does not; you can simply press Clean on the robot itself. If you don't want to use WiFi at all, you may want to consider the Roomba 614, which is unconnected.
A:AnswerThe battery on the Roomba 675 is already installed and ready to go. The filters are not washable, though; you'll just want to tap out any dust or dirt into the trash.
