A:AnswerProbably not. I have not owned a 2011 specifically, but I had a 2003, and now I drive a 2016, and neither of these tundras have enough room under the seat for a subwoofer this large.
A:AnswerDepends what you mean by rear speaker. It is not a replacement for rear speakers if that was your question. You cannot just drop this in place of a rear speaker. You will not get the Mid and High frequencies provided by most rear speakers in place of a subwoofer. This would also require an enclosure. On the other hand you can run a good pair of component or coaxial speakers in the front, and just subwoofers in the back also without rear speakers. But an amplifier for your front speakers would be highly recommended to keep up with the subwoofer if that is the route you want to go with.
A:AnswerWill need wires (Battery to amp, ground to amp, rem, from radio to amp, from amp to sub(s)). It would probably fit with box (not sure I don’t own the car, just wanted to tell you wires)
A:AnswerAbsolutely not i have a kenwood 1000watt amp with two of these and its insane in the back of my civic. I have a ported box as well and no problems I love em.
A:AnswerI think a 2ohm 400w mono amp would be perfect and wouldn't blow your speakers. I have an old school punch 500 2 ohm mono and lowered the gain because it was too much for the speakers but they hit hard in a sealed 12 inch box.
A:AnswerOur GX subwoofer is mainly used for cars, although it can be enclosed and used as a home theater sub, we would still advise to use it for cars as it's designed that way.
A:AnswerI install at the Best Buy in Joilet, IL. I have been installing for thirty years. There are specs for a sealed, ported, and a bandpass enclosure that come with the sub. I have built a few of the bandpass. The best sounding, most musical bandpass I have heard. Will outplay a single Kicker Comp. Comparable to a dual 12 in Kicker Comp ported enclosure(sold at Best Buy). Seriously considering replacing 2 Yamaha Club series 18 in enclosures (95 db 600 w ea; 132 db peak/pr) with 4 of these bandpass enclosures (97 db 250 w; 133 db peak/quad) (I also do live sound and record bands).
