QuestionI have 2 kicker comp c 12 inch single voice coil 4ohm using this amp just ran with both subs straight to each port yet the amp keeps going into protection. It sounds great but after a few months or so protection. Please help

- Answer Amp gains could not be set correctly, power, ground correct awg? Have you verified with ohm meter ( multimeter) at speaker wires before connecting to amp? Wired correctly? All these could cause a protect mode issue

- Answer This amp would be too much for 2 speakers. You can actually power 4 of those fosgates with this amp. If you want to use the speakers you already own I would recommend the kicker cxa400.1

Questionwill this amp push 3 10" 10W1v3-4 JL Audio subs without going into protection mode constantly or overheating if wired correctly? They are rated at 300 RMS each which is what the amp is rated for.

- Answer I have never had an issue with protection mode, and the only over heating issue I’ve run into was on a four hour drive in warm weather (85 degrees). That issue stopped once I dropped the rear seats in order to get air movement in the trunk. Currently I’m running 6 Kickers in the passenger area, and 2 12’s with this amp in the trunk.

- Answer Yes, it will be more than enough for one 12. Depending on how you wire it: 800w @ 1 ohm 600w @ 2 ohm 300w @ 4 ohm Parallel voice coils will half the ohm load Series will double the ohm load Hope this helps.
