  • QuestionDoes this work with my Tesla Model 3?

    • Answer It will when used with the Tesla to J1772 adapter that came with your car (I have tested and it works). Use caution, however, with the outlet you plug this into, as it draws 16A yet a standard outlet (NEMA 5-15) is only rated for 15A and you should de-rate that to only draw 12A max per the NEC when used continuously for hours while charging; you should really only use this unit on a 20A circuit and it should have been equipped by Lectron with a NEMA 5-20 plug, not a 14-50, due to this.

    • Answer According to the reviews from other people that have bought this item, YES, it will work AND it allows for slightly faster Level 1 charging rates(16 amps instead of the stock 15 amps the OE cable is rated for), without causing excessive heat or damage to your car's battery.

    • Answer Here is a photo of the end that plugs into your vehicle to charge it up, as I did not see a review by any Jeep.owners, when I checked over them. I don't know of the connectors are standardized or not, so you will want to compare before you commit to making the purchase.

  • QuestionJust getting a maverick hybrid. Know nothing! Will this work for this truck?

    • Answer It will work on any EV (electric vehicle) other than Tesla. It has a 20 amp draw. So this wont plug into a regular outlet 15Amp without tripping the breaker (may work for a few moments before it trips) How do you know if you have a 15 amp or more. Plug a lamp into the socket you want to plug this device into go to your breaker box and shut the breakers off until the light goes out. Printed on the breaker will be a number ie...15a. 20a.. 30a if its a 20 or higher you're good. Good luck.

    • Answer The bix does not show whether this item is considered energy star rated or not, and being that it is only a cable and not actually using electrical current, it may not be required to undergo testing. This question may be better directed to be submitted to the manufacturer, as I don't really know.

    • Answer Yes you can use it on standard 110v 3 prong outlet. It should work just fine with your Bolt
